About Us

Welcome to the Palm Beach Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America. We are professional communicators from Palm Beach County and Martin County, more than a hundred strong, who utilize membership for professional development, networking, career insights, camaraderie, training, and recognition of excellence.

The Public Relations Society of America (PRSA), our parent organization, is the nation's largest professional organization serving the communications community with a mission to make communications professionals smarter, better prepared and more connected through all stages of their career. PRSA represents 30,000+ members spanning every industry sector. Members of the PRSA Palm Beach are members of the national organization. The Palm Beach Chapter has been active since 1988 and operated as a member-driven, 501 (c) 6.

We extend an open invitation for non-members to take part in our programming, unless it is designated for members-only. We host events throughout the year at times that vary for the convenience of all.

Please join our mailing list to be notified of upcoming programming and social events. Of course, chapter members already receive these notifications.

Our Chapter produces the prestigious annual Palm Awards Communication Contest and Palm Awards. The competition invites members and non-members to submit work in a variety of categories, from comprehensive programs to tactical projects. The entries are judged out of state by another PRSA chapter, and the award-winners are recognized for their excellence at the Palm Awards event with trophies, certificates and recognition from the professional community and in the media.  The event also honors individuals for excellence in public relations and honors a local long-standing practitioner with the distinguished Dick Gruenwald Founders Award.

The 2018 Palm Awards Communications Contest will open on December 1, 2018 for submissions for work executed in 2018. The Palm Awards Luncheon will be held on Thursday, February 28, 2019 at a West Palm Beach location to be determined.

The Chapter's Career Development Initiative assist members and non-members in finding local jobs and advancing professionals with mentoring to obtain Accreditation in Public Relations. There is also robust training in leadership within the PRSA organization and members that get involved in Chapter leadership are supported by the Sunshine District and National PRSA network for advancement of skills and careers.
